Apply for All-AZ Scholarship by Oct. 26

2015 ALL-AZ Scholars Rex Moore and John Field with Rio Salado President Chris Bustamante
Each year Chandler Gilbert, Rio Salado and the other Maricopa Community Colleges name two of their students to the All-Arizona Academic Team. The prestigious honor includes a tuition award to one of Arizona’s three state universities along with cash scholarships in the range of $500-$1,000.

The top scholars will also have an opportunity to apply for membership on the All-USA Community College Academic Team and additional awards.

The scholarship committees for each college are seeking students who are engaged and making a difference in their communities.

The committees are looking for students who demonstrate some or all of the following qualities:

● Outstanding academic rigor and grade point averages (3.6 or higher)
● Participation in honors programs
● Awards, honors, and recognition for academic achievement
● Service to the college and community

A major focal point of the application process is an essay, which students must submit to chronicle one significant endeavor or achievement as a community college student. The scholarship judges look for innovative, creative, original and lasting achievements or undertakings.
