Maricopa Colleges Summer Camps for Kids!

From life skills and performing arts, to Kid’s College and STEM in Spanish, students ages 4 and older can go to “camp” at Maricopa Community Colleges this summer.  

Registration for 30 different summer camps and programs offered at different college locations and covering various topics including music, art, STEM, STEAM, theatre, veterinary care, babysitting, and much more starts Monday, March 7, 2016.

STEM and STEAM camps at GateWay (GWCC), Glendale (GCC), Paradise Valley (PVCC) and South Mountain (SMCC) Community Colleges include specific offerings in the areas of bioscience, math, technology, and STEM in Spanish.

Young musicians will find chamber music, jazz music, brass ensemble or music technology courses at PVCC, and band and jazz camp at Mesa Community College (MCC).

Theatre students from kindergarten through 12th grade can take summer musical theatre programs and summer intensives at PVCC and MCC.

Teens ages 11-15 can learn life skills including babysitting, workplace injury prevention, and healthy living at Gateway Community College.

Students interested in the arts, including photography, journalism, broadcasting, dance, multimedia, animation, and story writing will find camp options at Rio Salado, Gateway and Mesa.

Kids College at Estrella Mountain have many unique classes for ages 4-18, including culinary, cheer and dance, BYO toy doll house, music and theatre, media arts, app design, LEGO™, 3-D video gaming, robots, Minecraft™, and much more.

Even children as young as four years of age can get a taste of what college is like at Camp Gecko at GateWay.

Some programs require course registration while others require an application. Scholarships are available for some programs.
